 1. BUSINESS CHAMBER REGISTRATION

A once-off administration fee of R135.00 applies. The subscription can be paid annually in advance with one month discount, i.e. R 1485. The administration fee is still payable.  Although we will not enforce any debit order, no refunds are payable. The amount of R135.00 is SUGGESTED ONLY, YOU MAY CONTRIBUTE ANY AMOUNT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH.

2. COMPANIES PROVIDING SERVICES AND GOODS THAT ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP

The following companies providing Services or Goods cannot become members of the Reality Media Business Chamber:

2.1    Sex industry workers and Escourt Agencies
2.2    Companies selling illegally imported goods
2.3    Companies providing banned substances and pharmaceuticals that require a prescription according to South African law;
2.4    Companies selling pirated or counterfeit goods of any nature, including software, movies, music, clothing or any item that would infringe on intellectual property laws;
2.5    Companies that provide goods and services that are dangerous, or which may cause harm to persons or property;
2.6    Companies providing goods and services in which the sale or export, or purchase or import would be in contravention of any law; and
2.7    Companies that provide goods or services that we advise, in our sole discretion, are inappropriate for membership of the Reality Media Business Chamber.

3. REALITY MEDIA CODE OF CONDUCT

Reality Media Business Chamber is not involved in any sale and purchase of any goods and services, save for providing a free CD-Rom and printed media promoting drug awareness, and providing a support network to the public:

3.1    Any dispute between any Buyer and Seller arising out of, or in connection with, any sale and purchase of any goods or services provided by Reality Media Business Chamber Members, could be addressed directly to the Reality Media Business Chamber for arbitration .
3.2    Reality Media cannot guarantee, nor do we represent or hold out that the descriptions of any goods and services provided by our Business Chamber Members will be accurate.
3.3    The Reality Media Business Chamber Code of Conduct promotes fair business practices
3.4    Reality Media Business Chamber do not represent or hold ourselves out as the manufacturer of any goods offered for sale and/or sold by our Chamber Members.   
3.5    The Reality Media Business Chamber Member indemnifies Reality Media against all claims that may arise relating to their items offered for sale through our membership database.
3.6    All moral rights of Reality Media and its employees/agents are reserved.
3.7    Your use of the Reality Media Business Chamber Membership Database is an indication of your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. COPYRIGHT

4.1    Copyright 2001 © Reality Media, we will never offer any drug awareness material or media for sale, and our copyright will only be enforced where someone may try to make copies of our media and offer it for sale. 

5. HYPERLINKS

7.1    Any person, business or web site may link to any page of drugaware.co.za without the prior written permission of Reality Media.
7.2    Hyperlinks provided on by our Chamber Members to non-drug awareness sites, are provided as is and Reality Media does not necessarily agree with, edit or sponsor the content on such web pages.

6. DISCLAIMER

10.1    Apart from the provisions of sections 43(5) and 43(6) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, neither Reality Media nor any of its agents or representatives shall be liable for any damage, loss or liability of whatsoever nature arising from the use or inability to use this membership database or the services or content provided from and through this database. Furthermore, Reality Media makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content and technology available from this database are free from errors or omissions or that the service will be 100% uninterrupted and error free. Users are encouraged to report any possible malfunctions and errors to the person referred to Reality Media.

10.3    Information, ideas and opinions expressed on this site should not be regarded as professional advice or the official opinion of Reality Media and users are encouraged to consult professional advice before taking any course of action related to information, ideas or opinions expressed on this site.

 

13. GUARANTEE OF SERVICE

13.1.1     No guarantee is promised or implied in terms of our services or information on our web pages.
13.1.2    Reality Media may from time to time make use of Independent Contractors to promote our services, and Reality Media takes no responsibility for any person implying a guarantee on any of our services, written or otherwise.

14. CODE OF CONDUCT

14.1    Reality Media will endeavour to protect the integrity of our Free Services to our clients at all times;
14.2    Reality Media will at all times promote the use of this site in strict accordance to fair business practices.
 

15. GOVERNING LAW

This site is hosted, controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefore governed by South African law.

16. PRIVACY

16.1    This site collects private information from users, such information shall not be disclosed to any third party unless agreed upon between the user and Reality Media or through due legal process. Users agree that Reality Media may, from time to time communicate with users.
16.2    This site uses cookies to customise the site and make a user's experience more user-friendly. Cookies are an industry standard and cannot harm a computer in any way.
16.3    Reality Media reserves the right to send the user email messages with news and special offers.

17. SECURITY

17.1    Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this web site or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this web site shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Reality Media suffers any damage or loss.
17.2    The user agrees and warrants that its log-in name and password shall:
17.2.1    be used for personal use only; and
17.2.2    not be disclosed to any third party.
17.3    The user allows Reality Media to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Reality Media site and back-office applications.
 

18. CHANGES TO AGREEMENT

Reality Media may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

19. DISPUTES

In the event of any dispute of any nature whatsoever arising between the parties on any matter provided for in, or arising out of this agreement, and not resolved through the Customer Relations Department of Reality Media then such a dispute shall be submitted for mediation and/or arbitration. Any dispute shall be conducted in accordance with the standard terms and conditions, the General Mediation Rules and the General Arbitration Rules of South Africa

20. DOMICILIUM

Reality Media chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 1 Jan Street, Eldoraigne, Centurion.

21. TERM AND TERMINATION

This agreement shall commence when the user registers on the Reality Media site and continues indefinitely until terminated by Reality Media in terms of clause 21 hereto or for any other reason.
